Sevvania's request - knuckle-duster Modelo 1911A2 by caiobrazil Sevvania's request - knuckle-duster Modelo 1911A2 by caiobrazil
requested by Sevvania on NationStates. he wanted a 1911 with a shorter barrel, knuckle duster and extended 14-round magazine.
as it will probably be for the history of his country, this time i won't be able to add a fancy backstory.
as far as i know, he intends to use them as trench pistols.

oh wait, he gave me a backstory. here it is:
...............................................
During WWI, Sevvania only had revolving sidearms and no submachine guns to speak of until the latter years of the war. Due to the relatively low rate of fire of existing small arms, a number of short-barreled M1911 handguns were purchased and imported for use as trench pistols. These weapons would see use even throughout the second World War, although they were far less common than the standard-issue Morgan machine pistol adopted in 1936.

Looks wonderful :), Brass knuckles kind of encourages dual-wielding due to the fact you'd use both hands to punch.

That is, until you realize you'd be hard-pressed to actually reload the damn thing or clear a malfunction, unless you're Revy or something.

But hey, thanks! This is one of my older works, by the way. Check out my gallery if you want to see my much better new stuff, though most of them aren't weapon linearts. I have quite a few (a lot, actually) more recent linearts but since i couldn't be bothered to finish them nicely they're just sitting there collecting virtual dust in my hard drive, maybe one day i'll actually finish the damn things.

I'm in love with the Knuckleduster design. Is that real? It should be real.

no, it isn't. you may actually find a photo of it; i thought it was real, but upon closer inspection it is clearly photoshopped.

and, since most (if not all) of what i draw is fictional (even if it is a copy of IRL stuff), this one most defintively isn't real. :P

Much obliged! As for the backstory, the basics:

During WWI, Sevvania only had revolving sidearms and no submachine guns to speak of until the latter years of the war. Due to the relatively low rate of fire of existing small arms, a number of short-barreled M1911 handguns were purchased and imported for use as trench pistols. These weapons would see use even throughout the second World War, although they were far less common than the standard-issue Morgan machine pistol adopted in 1936.
