Description

the exams week has finnaly come to an end!
I'M ON VACATIONS! YEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAA!
and, to commemorate, i present you the newest Antimaterial rifle designed by USBN defense systems:
the 25mm Heavy AntiMaterial Rifle, better know by the acronym HAMR !

credits to ~Vampirization :iconvampirization: for the red dot sight used in the "Compact" variant.

and now, for a proper description:
........................................................................................

the HAMR (Heavy AntiMaterial Rifle) is a 25mm antimaterial rifle, designed to offer the same mobility as a Barrett .50 BMG rifle with power comparable to the previous FAMT-30 30mm rifle. it features a scope with a special target acqusition and guidance system for usage of guided rounds. it's 25mm rounds come in multiple variants:

25mm HAMR-H (Heavy): the standard round, capable at hitting targets up to 9.500 meters away. it packs enough power to penetrate a MBT armor (even with reactive armor) at up to 8.000 meters away. it's explosive warhead is powerful enough to easily disable or destroy a MBT if aimed correctly. basically it cuts through armor like a hot knife cuts through butter and then blows it up.

25mm HAMR-HG (Heavy Guided): a quite powerful round. using data feed from the special scope's guidance systems, it can acquire targets up to 10.000 meters away, however it has a maximum range of 9.500 meters, and capable of cutting through tank armor up to 8.000 meters away. it is capable of frightening pinpoint accuracy even at these extreme ranges. it has also been know to have successfully shooting down in-flight aircraft.

25mm HAMR-C (Compact): a smaller, slower, lower-recoiling round. it was designed for medium-to-long range fighting, where the full-size round would be "too much", resulting only in more recoil and more money spent. it uses the same round as the HAMR-H, the only difference is the case. it is capable of hitting targets up to 7.000 meters away, and can penetrate MBT armor at 5.500 meters away.

25mm HAMR-LR (Low-Recoiling): an even smaller, slower and lower-recoiling round. it was designed for close-to-medium range fighting, where the bigger rounds would only result in more recoil. it is used specially in the "Compact" variant of the HAMR rifle in order to achieve a softer reoil and still being able to destroy a light armored vehicle at a decent distance. it uses the same round as the HAMR-H, the only difference is the case. it has a maximum range of 3.500 rounds and capable of penetrate MBT armor at up to 900 meters away.

the standard scope has an incredible 100x magnification, once only available to spotter scopes. this almost unbelivable level of magnification is necessary to hit targets at the extreme ranges the 25mm rounds can reach. however, if it is needed to hit targets at shorter ranges, the magnification can be adjusted from 5x to 100x. in order to be possible to aim correctly through the scope, a complex, yet reliable system is used. it includes a gyroscope stabiliazation mechanism and a digital stabiliazation/automatic angle adjustment system, so the shooter doesn't have to place his/her eye in the EXACT line-of-sight. small or even medium angle deviations are automatically compensated by these mechanisms. the gyroscope and digital stabilization systems also allow for the rifle to stay on target even after multiple shots from the powerful and high-recoiling 25mm round. the bipod can be adjusted so it can be "hardened", so the shooter can make small, accurate adjustments even with the 100x magnification and able to saty on the same place even after multiple shots.

the rifle itself features a sophisticated integrated recoil-absorbing mechanism, so despite the high recoil of the 25mm round, the felt recoil is actually said to be lower than the barrett's .50 BMG rifles. the detachable magazine has a maximum capacity of 5 rounds, the stock is only a bit longer thn the M-16's and the bolt uses a rather uncommon compact bolt system, inspired by the Barrett M-95. this system allows for a bullpup configuration, which allows for a lighter and shorter weapon. the adjustable bipod allows the shooter to stay on target and the heavy-duty compensator reduces recoil and allows the shooter to deliver consistent shots without hindering the shooter's wiew through the scope. the rubberized angled grip, rubberized thumb hole, ambidextrous safety and adjustable rubberized cheek rest llow for great comfort, while the stock is equipped with a hidden retractable monopod.

the rifles also come in multiple different variants:

Standard: not much to say. standard variant, equipped with heavy-duty rifle slings and the scope.
Tactcical: often called TAC-HAMR, it is the most used variant of the HAMR. it features multiple rails and is also normally equipped with the scope.
Compact: basically a TAC-HAMR with a greatly shortened barrel and a refined recoil-reducing mechanism. intended for close-to-medium range fighting and anti-terrorism duties, it is much lighter than the other variants of the HAMR. it is normally used with the "Low-Recoiling" round, which along with the refined recoil-reducing system, greatly reduces the recoil to a level comparable to a 30-06 rifle. in order to maximize it's counter-terrorism capabilities, it is normally fitted with an angled foregrip and, contradicting the USBN Defense Systems's traditions, a foreign scope. but it's not an ordinary red dot scope: as designed by its manufacturing company, "it is the TD-100Q sight, which is a wide-FOV red dot sight with threat detecting capabilities; it is designed to detect weaponized chemical compounds, such as gunpowder. When detected, the sight marks the threat with a red or green circle. When the TD is turned off, it functions as a normal red dot sight." with these capabilities, it is perfect for counter-terrorism duties, where the operator is able to point at cars and detect which one is a potential threat, or detecting otherwise unsuspected terrorist threats. because of it's great destructive power at short ranges, possibility to wield it like a normal rifle due to it's low recoil, and due to this same reason a much higher rate of fire, it has been given a nickname by the soldiers who use it: the Sledge-HAMR.

given these capabilities, the HAMR rifle is a solid choice for almost any heeavy anti-material, counter-siniping or armor-hunting missions, and with the correct ammunition it is a solid choice even for portable anti-aircraft defense.

....................................................................................................

i gotta say it, i'm specially proud of this one. man, i made it in a fairly short time, and it came out almos exactly, or maybe even better than i expected. except for the magazine... but anyways, i used only a very few preset parts. almost everything was made with shapes, the bipod holes are not white shapes (they're "carved out"), i added some markings on the scope's dials, etc.

and seriously, one single comment is worth more than a hundred faves for me. as a wise man once said, "if you can fave, you can comment".

so, this is it! remember to add a comment, and enjoy!

These rifles must be very heavy to wield and use.
